Contributor Guidelines
Latest Robot News works with a small number of industry practitioners — engineers, sourcing managers and founders who work with robots and robot components every day. We do not run an open submission queue, but we do read every pitch that comes with real technical substance.
What we are looking for
- First-hand engineering experience. Test data from your own line, failure analyses, tolerance and backlash measurements, thermal behaviour, cycle-life results.
- Sourcing and supply-chain reality. Lead times, MOQ logic, qualification of alternative parts, supplier audit checklists, landed-cost breakdowns.
- Deployment evidence. What actually happened when a robot was installed — cycle time, uptime, integration cost, what broke first.
What we do not publish
- Product announcements and press releases (“we are pleased to announce…”).
- Specification dumps with no use case, no comparison and no conclusion.
- Content whose purpose is to drive a purchase, with calls to action or promotional pricing.
- Claims without a traceable source. If a number cannot be verified, it does not go in.
Format
- 1,200–1,800 words in English. Chinese versions may be supplied by the author or produced by our editors.
- Structure: conclusion first (three sentences on what happened or what was found) → technical detail with measured conditions → comparison table → what it means for buyers and engineers → limitations and open questions.
- At least one table (specs, cost, lead time or comparison) and at least two verifiable numbers.
- Images: minimum 1200 px wide, with a note on who owns the copyright and whether credit is required.
What to send with the draft
- Full name, job title, company, and a real headshot (≥400×400 px).
- The source of each key figure: own measurement, third-party report, or customer case.
- Whether the piece has been published elsewhere, and if so, where and when.
Disclosure and independence
Contributed articles are labelled at the top with the contributing company and carry the author’s byline and biography. We edit for accuracy, clarity, structure and length, and we may remove promotional passages. Editorial coverage on this site cannot be purchased: advertising and sponsorship are labelled separately and never influence what we publish.
AI use
AI-assisted drafting or translation is acceptable if disclosed. Quotes, interviews, data and photographs of real events must be genuine. Any image that is illustrative rather than documentary must be captioned as such.
How to pitch
Send a two-paragraph outline — the finding, and the evidence behind it — to editor@latestrobotnews.com. We reply to every pitch within five business days. If we accept it, we agree a publication date and an exclusivity window before you publish it anywhere else.
